Ok.. my girlfriend just told me that Ultra Festival is on Direct Tv for 20.00$ US Cash.... Is this Pay-Per-View event gonna be released on DVD??? Does anyone have it VIA MPEG or AVI? It is showing on Friday the 28th.
I might go to her house to watch it. I was just wonderiong if anyone had it already.

i can't see why anyone would wanna pay 20$ to see a party on tv. Is pay-per-view really THAT expensive or is that just an exception? (we don't have pay-per-view here in belgium)

It's just an exception...it's a special event, which is why.
Normal movies and stuff are $2.99 - $3.99...and a lot of them are "All Day Tickets" (read on...)
I am checking the info on it, and it's an all-day ticket. So you pay $20 and get it all day and night until 6am eastern daylight time the next morning. So you can watch it over and over again if you want.
Ultra starts on DirecTV Friday moring at 6am EDT.
I can't do it Friday, but if it's on some other time and I'm home, I may hook up a digital recording system to my computer and record it to digital video, then go on from there and create a DVD out of it. I gots the shiznit encoders at work (one of my jobs is DVD authoring ).

How long is it? I thought it was going to be like 6 hours of coverage of the event, non stop, but now it sounds like its just 2 hours that replays over and over agian.
