For those of you who play only vynil;
How do you play original music?
I don't have (or want) cdjs, so I guess I'll use the laptop.
Does anyboy do this?
Is there any other way (which doesn't involve cds)?
Thanks

You can get Dubplates printed. But that's not a great way to do it. Getting some sort of CDJ or using a Laptop is pretty much the way to go.

without a cdj or laptop (or for that matter, one of those new fangled mp3 deck things that read mp3 cd's), you can only really start with the tune.. that is playing it off a cd walkman/mp3 player/md player
alternatively you can plug your headfones into the mic hole on your mixer and hum it..?

now that I'm trying to do it I realized I never got my intended/not asked answer
I want to mix tracks done by me which I have on my laptop. How can I do it?
Final Scratch or the new one would be cool, but now is not the time for those.
Any ideas?
Thks

Actually, your question was answered. Use either dubplates or hook up the laptop.
You'd think people would be more grateful for information they get for free.

Thank You All very much
So I've got the music files but I don't know how to mix'em. I mean how do I pitch change and stuff like that? What (kind of) software should I use?
Thanks

until you get final scratch or whatever, try getting a trial version of pcdjphat, its quite cool and you will be able to get the hang of things from there.. although i'm sure there are many different and better mixing programs about now..
