What do you guys think?

Hi,
I'm new here, so hi! I have been in love with trance since I was about 12. I am now 16, and have been producing some tracks for a few years now. Most of the tracks are just mess arounds, but I have recently made a track called 'the journey'. Many of my friends have heard it, and they say they like it a lot (but they might just be being kind!).

So, I wanna know what u peeps think. Also, could you tell me what category of trance it falls under?

Thanks!
DJ B8

I think it intends to be uplifting. Ok first of all - the bass isnt bassy enough it sounds like a simple layer, its too high as well. I liked the melody alot. However, everything sounds fruity
(strings, synths), but correct me if im wrong. you should try some VSTs. The transitions arent the best either. What you need is to listen to a proffesional track you really like and see how its arranged/built, it might help you alot. Keep working .
Cheers.

got potential!

Geez...i really am a sucker for those sweet melodies, although the synth sounds like its from "The Waltons"....oh...nevermind...only 16 you won't get it.

Over 180 bpm??? Definitely uplifting genre. I agree with ETERNAL on the bass...I'd also change up the melody or have a better counter-melody. That would give you more song duration as well...I haven't seen too many 2-1/2 minute trance tunes.
That synth is fine, maybe layer it with another pad in the break? i dunno...

Great melody however...gotta give you that!
