J00F Review

Absolutely stunning. Flawless set!

I was watching him from the second floor the entire night... he was playing ALL CD's which were promo's because I havent heard any of those songs except for 2. Lemme just say, for the weak set he played @ Arc, this made up for it 10 fold. Those of you J00F fans that didnt go missed out pretty big.

On another note, seems like Avalon did alittle tweaking of their system because it sounded alittle better in there.

I would post tracks, but who the fuck knows what he was playing.

Dancing Dude

J00F was pretty good,i enjoyed his set very much, but what it really sucked was the club atmosphere, it was prom night , so , u guys can imagine what kinda' crowd was there, bunch of kids fucked up by alcohol celebrating their first time in a club, little girls passing out even before going inside the club. the hip hop room was pumping all night, but the main dancefloor where john was spinning was pretty much empty by 3 in the morning, it seemed like nobody was there to see J00F,im pretty sure 80% of the crowd didn't even know who John flemming was. it was my first time at avalon since they reopened it and i did like the way the club looks, it reminds me of Exit back in the day, but i also believe Avalon is pretty small 4 tiesto and its gonna be so f...crowded.
ohh i almost forgot a couple of tranvestis tried to hit on me last nite too

What was pretty funny was I was chillin' on the second floor watching J00F do his things on the CDJ's and some kid comes up to me, from out of the booth, and we start talking... so were talking and stuff, and he tells me he used to spin at Avalon [Which has only been open since October if memory serves me right] and the kid isnt older than 18/19. So I took his bs, than he proceeded to ask me if I knew who was spinning, of course I did... than we start talking about EDM, for someone that 'used to spin at Avalon' hes not too bright. He had no idea who Fleming was and what psy/goa is - so I had to attempt to explain it to him.

i was at avalon last night for j00f
he came on at 1:30 started off pretty good and built up his set and from about 2:30 on he was goin off sick techy psy-trance stuff
he did play all cds as someone said before
as for the crowd i dont think they were feeling his set i mean no one had their hands up in the air, not too much danceing alot of people did not know of his or his style it started to die out at 3:30 i left at 4 but his set was great, not as good as his one at arc in sept but better then the ones he had in nov and jan at arc
and before his set i spoke to him a little i told him i liked his new track with mike and i asked him if he is going to do any cds
and he said he has just begun to start a cd and he hopes it will be out in sept, so look out for that
over all it was a good night except for the crowd

It was a good set but I had to leave afer like 2 hrs. after he started. Danced my butt of though.
There was some bizzare acrobat display.

I wasnt gonna do the Van Helsing outfit anyway... being clothed from head to toe in leather would cost way too much, plus I would be sweating like an ape.

Back to the topic, here are some tracks that J00F played in his set:

Electric Universe - The Prayer
Kuffdam & Plant - Seduction (Level Above Mix)
Astrix - Massive Activity
Prodigy - Voodoo People (Eskimo Remix)
Nemo - Spacemaker
Space Monkey - Resident Evil
Hiratzka & Kazell - Things Can Only Get Better
Melicia - Experience
L.S.G. - Risin' (Main Mix) If not this, something very similar
Sinesweeper - Eyes Wide Shut (Original Mix) Pretty sure I heard this
Synchronicity - Lost 4 Ever
Stephen J. Kroos - Phantazmz

Ill try to dig some more up.
