Since the demise of the Plaza, a shadow has fallen over the earth. In a last ditch effort to recapture the vibe of parties past, we’ve decided to launch an expedition into the solar system in search of the next wave of DJ talent and uplifting music. We are rejoined by one of our most innovative locals (second only to the rave god), who has contributed so much to our scene in recent years. Prepare for a rebirth of the rave phenomenon; prepare for lift off. Outbound Flight will now commence...
Tazix (Twisted, Agroculture, Unconscious Bros)
Who in Vancouver doesn’t recognize the name Tazix, aka “Dennis Trance w/ the pants that can dance”? For some time now he has been labeled as a rising star in the Vancouver scene, branching out ever more down the west coast to cement his position as a top rave/club DJ, both in Vancouver and Seattle, and now more recently in Victoria, so of course he needs no introduction. We’ve seen him at massives throughout BC rocking the crowds alone or with fellow crowd favorite Azim, but now its time to get a little bit more intimate and a little bit more interactive, as he takes us back to the roots of raving.
Vlado (Solid Corp)
Fresh from amazing DJ sets at massives Send Off and soon to be seen at Fusion Dreams 2004, Vlado is set to rock the house this go-round. Over the past year, he has developed an awe inspiring mixed style of melodic trance and hardstyle uplifting beats that simply gets the crowds pumped. He’s played along side world class talent,
namely Hennes & Cold, CJ Stone, Dumonde, Brooklyn Bounce, and Marc & Claude. A very down to earth trance enthusiast with just a hint of Tiesto influence and a big broad European smile, Vlado is set to tear the roof off.
Remeddie (Unconscious Bros, Elite Beat)
For those of you who’ve travelled a bit, you may have heard of Remeddie. Originally a promoter and event planner from the Kootenays, this epic melodic DJ came to Vancouver a little over a year and a half ago to conquer yet another city with his vocal driven synth-styled trance. He’s spun along side some of the best during his career in all parts of the globe. Recent gigs include the upcoming Stimulate in Victoria where he'll be rocking the crowd along side his good friend DetN8R followed by Fever 2004 in June. With fresh new material as well as some old favourites which are sure to leave you flashing back and tingling, Eddie will truly have you on your feet and in a state of total ecstasy!
