That's my least favorite Tiësto compilation ever. it was his first blatant cash grab and an obvious marketing ploy to break into the American market. The mixing and developed narrative always struck me as uninspired in comparison to his previous compilations.
The raw intensity of the Magik series will never be surpassed in my books. I was a fan since early on (around '98). There is so much thought put into every single one, and they still age better than any compilation done by the other superstar (trance) djs. You can easily tell they were all mixed using live turntable sessions, as opposed to the Pre Tools cookie-cut formula of the other djs. I was, and still am, so into the Magik series that I've never been impressed by other deemed classics such as Tranceport. I just like Magik that much. I could write books about every single one them, but I don't want to bore you all hehe.
