My Xone:32 has a crossfader which allows you to fade between the "mix" (what's playing live) and the cue channel (whichever you have selected to be the cue channel). The same output comes through each side of the headphones. Is there a term for this monitoring function? I love it, works very well for me. |
split cue is when you have seperate channels in seperate ears, as opposed to both channels in both ears, or cue signal only. the different settings are usually labelled 'split' and 'mix', or simply 'split cue on/off'. usually by default one of the channels in a cue split is the master signal, i'm not sure if you can alter this on a djm600 (is there a cue button over the master volume fader..? bloody ages since i used a djm600..)
i prefer split cue, i dont like having the two channels blended in together in the headfones, i find it a lot easier to differentiate between the two, and easier/quicker to fix any problems
