I dont know what the MP 3000X is but i have 2 gemini turntables (PT2100) and i'm really happy with them, build quality is good. Cannot comment on the quality of their mixers, allough the mixer you've mentioned and the 626i seem like a good starting point, allough i was looking at the 626 myself and the general consensus is that they are not for the long term.

Their low budget mixers don't last too long, but the "pro" series mixers (umx & stuff) are pretty good when u can't afford the more expensive ones (I have a UMX-7 myself and very pleased with it)

i think any low budget mixer will start to go before you can afford an expensive one no matter what the brand

I am using the UMX-7 for almost a year - and no problems. Consider getting this model, just compare with Gemini MP-3000X & Gemini PS-540i first.

Gemini are pants, and you'll have replaced it within a year, regardless of whether it's broken or not.

Save your money, buy the right kit first time.

I bet you used every single piece of equipment they've made before

I've had my UMX for a year now and it still works. It's just a matter of how you treat your stuff. When i don't use it i always put a piece of dustfree antistatic cloth over my setup. Saves me a lot of trouble.
