Izmailov and Sytchev departing to top clubs next season is inevitable and they will play pivatol roles for the Russsians at the tournament.
Captain Viktor Onopko is missing through injury and his loss will be tragic on the team. His added experience in major tournaments dates all the way back to WC'94 and his ability to reflect composure on what is a relatively young squad, will be missed significantly. Not to mention that his partner in crime Ignashevitch will be absent as well.
However, Yartsev has some 'grit' in that squad and will be interesting to see how they deliver in Portugal.
put the team in there instead of making a new thread.
