I own one

Considering it's worth just about $600 new, second-hand should be around $400 ?

You'd be lucky to get $200 if you sell it to a reseller. If you're selling it privately you can usually get around half of what you paid for it depending on its condition.

wow, $500...

Not too sure about BPM counters as I don't use it nor do I even know how to...? The round light just blinks to the beat I suppose? But it never seems to be on time [???]

FX-unit seems to be basic - very entry level stuff but dirty fun. Never used an advanced FX processor before but the problem with the Numarks is that when applying effects @ peak levels, the sound becomes very artificial and tacky - not as natural as I would hope.

In terms of overall sound, I find it quite flat and tight.

Not really... for the headphones you have a complete X-fader with a master volume... so no vertical channel-faders dedicated for the HPs [if thats what you're referring to?]

so that means you can have one channel coming into the headphones louder then the other, without altering the main output of that channel???

Not all...some vestax mixers don't have cue adjustment abilities and shits me to tears, unless you're mixing with good monitors it can be a bitch.
