jst wonderin if many of u have heard of him / them?

Shane himself is a bit of a legend. and aparrently doctors are baffled as to how he's managed to stay alive after years of alcohol & drug abuse.

i've added him to my sig below .. a tad less attractive than ms. beckinsale..

top tunes written by shane:

Fairytale of new york
rainy night in soho

personally i think they're 2 of the best songs ever written!
and i highly advise u all to go download them!

Yep an amazing piece of work. The best Pogues album in my opinion is "Rum Sodomy and the Lash" I've seen videos of them playing and he is so wasted it isn't even funny anymore.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of uppers, downers, laughers, screamers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.

The Pogues are awesome, so many great bands they've influenced like Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly and Blood & Whiskey

in fact Shane McGowan provided some lyrics on some of Dropkick Murphys albums including the tracks:
Boys on the Docks
Good Rats &
Wild Rover
