He blew the roof off of avalon boston tonight. and it wasn't asot 151...damn near half of his trax were old school and id's. he is #1. tiesto is done at #1 this year. AvB #1 from henceforth. It was cool tho cuz I bought this shirt off ebay with a funky dude with headphones and it says "armind" and armin van buuren underneath. he pushed everyone else aside to sign my shirt and give me respect. I congratulated him on 150 asot's.

all I can say is wow. I feel like a million bucks. Time of my life.

I don't "hate" the guy, infact I enjoy his sets, but it's just that he's over killing the same sound over and over. There's no variety in his sets whatsoever. Maybe we're all just spoiled from listening to ASOT weekly (which is why I've taken a break from it, plus I have no time) or maybe it really is his fault for not mixing things up a bit, who knows.

If he came here I'd no doubt see him though, I'm sure that's quite the experience.

i thought his ASOTs are intended to show how new tunes would be heard in the mix.and to promote them.afkors you can listen to them also on online record shops,but the quallity there is very bad.

but isn't armin going into progressive waters more and more?or is that just my imagination.

I don't understand all this complaining of variation in his sets. Looking at other fellow DJ's that
just play the same tunes and styles over and over.
I must say Armin is one of the few ones playing a lot of different stuff in his set considering he is a trance dj!!

just take a quick peek at some of his sets.. playing all from

Luke Chable, Ozgur Can, Klinkenberg, and over to Futureshock, Joop, and to 4 strings, A&B.
respect for also spinning progressive and even harder stuff as well for spinning melodic trance.
