Decision could raise Internet service fees by as much as 50%!

At 9:45 they will announce whether Canadians will have to pay more for internet service. The government may impose a new levy aimed at compensating artists for downloading of music. This is the same type of levy now charged for blank CDs and tapes. So far since they started this program for CDs, no artists have seen any of the money.

This is disgusting. Its nothing but a tax grab. They are being so sneaky by bringing it in under the guise of an election. The only reason i found out about it was a brief newsticker underneath CBC News. I cant even find anything about it on the internet.

In Canada the government tells us what channels we can and cannot watch. (Im still waiting for HBO). They tax the hell out of CDs, tapes, and anything that can hold data such has digital camera disks. And now they are about to make internet access unaffordable.

Well at least i voted for someone who was about to put an end to all that.

That's fucked up. But why are you waiting for HBO? Just get hacked DirecTV/DishNetwork satellite.

Thats because sadly, politics affects everything we do.

As for the CRTC, i wish they would disband it. Nothing but communication commies.
