What will be a good place to go out if you like trance music? I read about a club called Café d'Opera, but their website is offline at the moment? Is this a good club?
What about Smuget or Baronen og Baronessen (I also read about these ones)?
I know some clubs or parties are being discussed on this forum but I can't read Norwegian :-)
Thanks in advance |
Cafe d'Opera is closed - finito - but a new venue @ same location, Shu Club (20+ ID)- ok place - 1st floor = chill out, 2nd floor = rnb/vocal house/various house, 3rd floor = mainly vocal house/funky house/disco/etc - the place is a "gay club", but don't let that scare you, the atmosphere is good, and you don't have anything to fear to say it like that.. the ppl there don't bite
Smuget (20+ ID - they say 24-25 if you don't dress good) is more like a pub/bar - lot's of norways more "famous" ppl (tv celeb/etc) comes here - very expensive, not worth it imo - except for when they sometimes got some good standup shows, but i don't think you come to oslo for watching norwegian standup
Baronen & Baronessen (20+ ID) - never been here before, and don't really know any ppl who got anything useful to say about the place - all i know is that one of their bouncers got shot outside some years ago by some freak hehe, anyways, i don't think they play house/edm
but when you're here, you can check out Sikamekanico (20+ ID) - usually house/dnb/prog/b.beats etc, and sometimes Barbeint (20+ ID) also got some good parties.
i recommend you to check out this site - usually all the parties in town are listed there, or you can check out this page too too, but usually parties don't get listen until some weeks before the date - so it's still early to find parties for the specific date you're here
hope this helped a bit
