There is no one codec that does them all, tho XviD can decode DivX, but IMO its not as smooth and efficent.
Also if you watch multilanguage AVI's then you need a subtitle filter and vobsub to spilt those all up nicely.
A good Mpeg2 codec is also usefull.

could you link freeware codecs that we need? like the ones you mentioned, and explain how to use?
