Xone: 62 Question...

Just got my Xone 62 today, and am in love with it. Only thing is, it doesn't have a main output jack like my previous mixer (Denon dx400)...I'm just using the record out function to connect to my reciever and getting minimal sound that way. I'm assuming I'm gonna need to get an amp or something to get the full sound. Any suggestions...or is there another way to get around having to get a brand new amp for the setup to work. As it is now...the main mix knob doesn't do anything in terms of volume...only the gains and channel faders.
Also, am I going crazy, or does the xone 62 not allow you to hear eq changes from the headphones?
Thanks.

It's true that the EQ doesnt work through the phones. The store I buy my stuff at has an option to enable it though. You just ask for it and they fix the whole thingy somehow. Maybe you could ask for some advice @ the store you bought ur mixer at.

On reading the documentation on the Allen & Heath website, it seems that you can use the Aux sends instead of the Cue button to cue a track and listen to it post-EQ. However, it seems that the default setting for Aux is pre-EQ, and I can't find documentation on how to adjust this setting, so you're best off having a shop do this for you.

Woth mentioning: you need to perform some internal soldering to have the EQ pre-fader as it comes post-fader in standard form.

just hit the AUX button and then hit the PRE buttons for each channel you are using. Then use the AUX pots instead of the CUE buttons. This will allows you to hear the EQ changes in the headphones. Oh and you still can't hear the filters in the headphones still tho. I prefer Pre-EQ method using the CUEs tho.
