Well I am moving back to vancouver in 3 weeks after being away for 7 years. I'm looking for a decent M-F type job but I know I probably won't find one that pays decently until I know a lot of people out there and so I was wondering if anyone knows of any club work that is available. Being a coat check girl would rule but anything really would be cool.
If anyone knows of any work, or knows of any "real" work outside of clubs please let me know because I've got a lot of various experience from Assistant Managing in retail to production managing for a dinner theatre to bankwork to tech support for AT&T WorldNet. I've got a basic resume online at http://abegael.tripod.com/resume.html
I've also got a lot of event experience which is not on the resume because there are so many little gigs and that resume is really just for finding office work (and events/parties/raves do not impress office people haha)

aka Abbey =)
P.S.
I'm 21 and as far as employment goes I think my three biggest assests are I'm extremely dependable, I keep calm during emergencies, and I'm a great team player
And I really am looking for any work. I don't mind working for min wage if I can get garaunteed hours.

well, i heard Shaw Cable was hiring (heard from our cable guy hehe), he said they were hiring like 200 people a week for positions all over canada. no idea what kind of positions, what kind of pay, or what city they need people for most. but its worth a try.
call their support line (its in the phone book) and ask for a number/address for their personnel dept.
thats all i got to say bout that

well i was there yesterday, all they do is forward your resume on to somewhere else(head office in calgary, i think). there is no hr dept at the one in metrotown. so ask for their fax# when you talk to the lady on the phone, cos its probly the easiest way to get it in there. dont know how promissing it looks, but im still hunting thats for sure. i'll keep you posted on every decent sounding job i come accross.
ps. if you're c90ming back in a few weeks, maybe you could come to our party (check out the thread)
