what to look for when buying used 1200s?

hi

first off please dont jump on me because this topic's probably been there a lot - i *DID* search and couldnt find anything.

well, I finally got the money to buy a technics 1200 (used, of course)

and i was wondering what are the things that'll tell you if it has been abused a lot or if the pitch isn't working correctly.. type of not totally obvious signals that tell you, you should avoid buying it.

thanks in advance

Check the on-off light, make sure it looks like the dots aren't moving. Next to that light it lists what percents will make it look as if various dots aren't moving, check those. Check the pop-up light. Braking time. Make sure it's not all gunked up. Dunno what else. Check the cords.

lol np. Searching can be quite an art Gotta use words that are relavant to the topic. Hard to explain. To find about your topic, I used words like "make sure" ... not directly related yet you'd expect them to be in a reply. Hopefully you know what I mean.
