Headphones

I'm djing out next friday and i'm not to sure my headphones will be able to cope with it. I have Numark HF125s the one's that most packaged decks come with. I don't beatmatch doing the one ear on one headcup the other listening to the speakers I just have them both headcups on and beatmatch the two tunes then take off the headphones and just slowly turn up the volume, so my question is do I need better ones or do you think these will do the job it's quite a loud club.

essentially no. but i'm sure you can get away with it if you have to. you will find that the loudness of the music may start to drown out your headphones... i used to have a pair of those (which i also got with a package) and they have about as much power as a dead sheep

I wouldnt trust any numark product in a club environment personally

Personally id say get some better ones- or run the risk of being right up shit creek when they break.
Any headphones that cost 8.95 to buy arent going to be that amazing.

If its a loud club you need better ones- no question. Budget headphones just do not cope with a club environment.

You dont need to splash out on top whack pioneers or anything- but there are mid range 'phones that will cope adequately and wont break the bank- example: sony MDRV500.

From a personal perspective, i view the headphones as being the link between me and the music. Without them im pretty much f*cked- hence why i use hdj1000s, and carry a spare pair of mdrv700s in my record bag for emergencies.
