I think in producing Trance/Techno/NRG etc music.. A Kick is very important aight?
So Im wondering... how do u make a Hard & Tight KICK...
Kick that is very tight when u view it on ACID pro or etc.. it is in a Triangle shape... For Example Yoji Biomehanika's KICK... I guess he has the Hard n best kick ever sound...
From what i analysis, those kick is usually merge with Snare/clap(am i right..) Kick like It Beat Hard "Doog!" but with somekind of echo of clap/snare...
So any suggestion?? If it is in FLStudio what inst do u guys use/merge??
*I have been trying hard but i just cant get that kick!"

well it's not really about the samples you use...I'd say that they are 30% of the kicksound...
you have to EQ and compress it tight, a trick that works for me is using 1 or 2 samples, one a bit deeper for the low end and one with that high snap in it...then I cut the low ones high frequencies and vice versa....
after that I use 2 or 3 EQ's and crank the bassamount up almost to ridicilous amounts.
then I finish it of with at least one compressor (most often I use 3 or 4 compressors at very low settings instead so I don't loose the preasure in the kick)
now this is just my way of doing it but I'm shure there are more ways to get that tight kick

Whats the setting of the compressor that you did to get kinda hard tight sound?
compression settings run very high... make sure the knee setting is very quick also
4 to 1 ratio
to
6 to 1 ratio

well it's done in reason so I can't really tell you any threshold and ratio values (for some reason they don't use that as value )
but generally you need to go with either much compression if youre just using one compressor or medium compression if youre chaining like 3 or 4 compressors

if you press tab you'll notice that the redrum has outputs for every instrument channel, use thoose to avoid compressing the whole drumset in one piece

If you can, play with the harmonics too... If you can add harmonics on the fundamental bass wave you can enrich the bass sound without wrecking your laptop speakers or headset.
A cool trick!

Layered 2 Kick Sample that is SnareKIck and DNC_Kick
and then i apply a Parameteric EQ -> Basspunch
and i pull the DNC_Kick Mid higher a little...

add a compressor to the fx board for the kick is what he means fruity has one built in so you should see it when you goto add it. also id not strongly suggest using the fruity samples they are rather medicore and if you have no adaquet samples you can use the fruity kick genrator and use 2 or 3 of thoose then do all the above to try and help it. honestly tho fl kick genrator isnt too hot but you can combine a few instences of it and such to get some decent sounds. if your using fruity i find best way to get the sound you want out of a kick is using the bassboost also using your spectrum anylist to pinpoint the frequencys you need to boost and which ones you need to lower
