Exclamation The new I-pod (4th generation) , 20 & 40 GB models released

www.ipod.com

Yeah, looking slick. But I would wait for the 50 or 60 GB models to come out, prolly some months from now. Well, although they didn't radically redesign the whole thing, I'm druling at my screen atm...

I was really interested in an i-pod before someone on TA posted that a battery lastts 1.5 years and costs over 100 bucks to replace. I might just go with another company :/

Hmm. I have yet to understand the hype over these. I have not once considered buying one. I have a computer which can hold 200 GB of music, why would I want a little 20 GB music player for an outrageous price?

because you can't strap your computer on you when you are travelling/jogging etc.

The iPod's better, but if you didn't have the money you could get Dell's DJ for 250. My friend has one and it's pretty impressive.

Well, technically, you can strap your computer on. You could get some supports like the bass drummers have in marching bands and stuff, but that's besides the point. I suppose it could be nice while jogging, but it wouldn't be worth it I don't think. Oh well, eye of the beholder I suppose.
