The Official NFL 2004 Thread

Well, preaseason is about halfway over. Is anyone as excited for the upcoming season as I am? My favorite team, The Cleveland Browns, made some nice off-season free agent acquisitions, unloaded some dead weight, and could be a good team if their Offensive line holds up.

Discuss the upcoming NFL season here.

well my Dolphins are probably gonna stink it up this year,I dont have to tell you why....but its a good thing I guess, the Fins havnt had a bad season since 86 and thus no high draft picks. All these teams that have won the superbowl have sucked for a couple years before .

the seahawks look like the sleeper team this year.I havnt really looked into all the teams yet,Ill get back to you on who else I think will win in January.

Got a few teams to cheer for after my Bucs traded my fav player, John Lynch, and picked up shite Raiders so I hate them now. Goin for the Skins, Chiefs and Pats. Rootin for the Broncs too haha. 4 teams, whoops.

Superbowl prediction so far - Pats V. Eagles although there is no favorite in the NFC so far.

Oh boy I can't wait for my RAIDAZ to bounce back this year!

Why such optimism? Rich Gannon looked really good this preseason and training camp

tribu...are you still here in Columbus? Anyway, I'm more of a college football fan, but being from Dayton, I have to also go with the Bengals. What a turn around this team has made and continues to make. I no longer am laughed at when I say I root for Cincinnati. I hate to say it, but I think Cleveland is in for a long season. The great thing about the NFL is that you never know though...thank god football season is here. Carson Palmer, just keep playing like you did against New England.

Seattle has a good lineup. Matt Hasselbeck has become the quarterback that he needs to be and Shawn Alexander is an all around back that can do all the things necessary to score on any play. The defense has improved. We got Bobby Taylor and Grant Windstrom.

Even better, they are picked to win their division and probably win the Super Bowl.

As long as the team stays healthy...
The Seahawks are gonna rock the NFL!

Get a life you losAHS!

First of all, the seahawks are always brutal on the road, so I doubt that will change nor will their chances at the Superbowl.

Eagles won't win it either because a riff between Mcnabb and Owens will happen around week 10 imo. Owens is one of the most arrogant and pathetic athletes of all time. I heard from some of his former quaterbacks that if the ball is too low, he won't reach for it and Mcnabb won't put up with half assed effort, it's all love now, just wait till the riff appears. You wonder why most players hate owens, its not because of his skill, it is because of his pathetic attitude towards the game.

Now the Superbowl will be won by the Pats again this year. These are a few reasons

1)Team is largely unchanged from last year
2)They did not have a great running game and still won the superbowl but now they got the former bungal aka Corey Dillon and he will give them a new method of attack
3)Brady is a smart man
4)Their defensive backs are smart
5)They have the best coach in the game bar none in Bill B and he adds something to the team. He is always extremely prepared and he knows what to do when the time comes. They are an amazing team and I expect a 13-3 season.

Skins will be much improved team this year, still crap but with an owner with deep pockets at times, I doubt they will be that bad. Joe Gibbs is a brilliant coach and he brought back all the staff that he had when the skins last won the bowl.

The Chiefs will fail again in the post season, their conference has too many good teams with indy and new england.

Colts - doubt they will beat the pats
