How to save a video from a mini dv cam
windows movie maker sucks
so any other programs that i could use?
i want to save it as avi and encode it in divx
or just make it mpg

Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro, either of those will do...
depending on how long the dv is it could use a lot of diskpace
i think its something like 1min of dv = 1gig storage.
