Yo guys and gals. My name is Mike. I'm 24 and I just moved from the east coast to the Hyde Park area in Austin, (originally from the Rio Grande Valley). Imma grad student at UT. I have my own place and zero TA friends in the area - looking to change that and meet some of you nice, trance-friendly peeps

I think I've mentioned this before in other posts - I have my own tables and spin for fun at home, but I'm a far cry from good. I have heard mixed things about Austin and the EDM scene here...that it's good, that it sucks, that it's up and coming, tha it's "underground". I'm up for finding out.

Anyway it be fun to maybe get together with some of you around the area some time to hang out, spin, or to check out some good EDM places. Any takers?

Now that sounds great! When i moved to Las Vegas in '92 that's the way it was.

I went to a club(ICE)last month, I left after 1 hour, it was so packed i couldn't move, not my idea of fun. I'm looking forward to a small scence with no name Dj spining great tunes.

Black's is really good Ray-Ray. I think Po-Ke's has Austin on lock though.

Yo man I hear ya dude - going from a full time job to a full time student has wiped away my income so i'm slumming it too! Sucks! When you're up this way though - give me a ring. And if you and your friends ever need a place to crash when you're up here and not have to drive back home, my place is here for the taking.
