Vlad, why did u mention the WMD issue - no one else did - Cobra Commander mentioned that in the 9/11 commission report that was released that there was no link to be found between Hussein and Al Qaeda, he didn't mention the WMD issue - the "linking" is important because at time of State Of Union 2003 address (one right before the United States executive government attacked Iraq) our "President" stated the alleged link as a supporting statement to his WMD claim (which also as everyone now knows has turned out be HS).
I have watched some of the convention coverage over past 2 days - the Democrats have scared me quite a bit actually up to the point of this convention (and they still do, just a little less) - at least with Bush and his regime of cronies I know what to expect (most of the people in my life though remain in the dark thanks to our wonderful corporate controlled and owned media, I am still tryin to get my grandma to not watch Fascist NewsChannel, err i mean Fox NewsChannel for her news at 6).
The Reverend Al Sharpton's speech yesterday night (at around 8 i think it aired) was incredible. The Democrats need to grow their sense of spirit back to the way it was in the 60's/70's - their base policy, style, etc. has drifted far to much to the right of their center circa 60's/70's. Honestly historically I often wonder how this country would have ended up if RFK hadn't been assassinated - I think he would have made so many positive changes for the American people, for the little people, the underrepresented, the poor & homeless. The most important thing I believe our country's federal government must do in the remainder of this decade as far as foreign policy is build our alliances with our global neighbors - set aside petty cultural differences and crass, ignorant attitudes.
For those who enjoy my rant, thank you, and i am sure there will be those who won't - comments are welcome of course.
Later, Alex
