I was actually going to post something regarding these . . . they did a review on them saying that they were essential the Stanton ST-150 with a different name on them. They also said most of the features were very effective, and the build was quality. Also, the table weighs in at some outrageous weight, its obviously beefy.

You can get some on Ebay for as little as $260 . . .

I just ordered them. And indeed it is the same as the Stanton. Actually there is an interesting story behind this.

This design was originally produced for Numark but for some reason they turned it down. The result was that this OEM design became implemented by several other companies. Nearly all tables that were built based on this OEM-design are identical. Some have minor extra functions but that's not something to worry about.
After the design had been produced it appeared that it worked way better than they were expecting it to be. The tonearm is nearly identical to the arm of an Technics SL table and the engine runs at 4.5kg of torque ... Basically, this table can beat a Technics, allthough many people refuse to believe it.

Here are all tables based on the OEM-design:
Synq XTRM1

Omnitronic DD5250

Akiama DJ4000 Acura

AMDJ HTD4.5

Stanton STR8-150

Citronic PD45

Reloop RP6000MK5

I chose the AmDJ HTD 4.5 for its color

"The OEM" has been out for quite some time now, but from what I've heard about them, they are solid decks for a decent price.

Well I wouldn't say there better, cos I don't think something could be, the Techs do there job perfect and last forever, you can't get better than that, I haven't tried these new decks, but I am sure from what I've read they ain't better than Techs, there just as good, so it ends up coming down to personal preference, I'm a Tech guy, but I'm sure I'd love those just as much, but there is one thing these new decks have got to prove, and thats can they last, we will see, but I'm sure the more basic version of the deck will, not sure about the extra featured ones, since its just more shit to go wrong.

I'm not saying they are better,.. I said they can beat a Technics on certain levels. The only way to find out if what I'm saying is true is trying them yourselves.

I'm not that an experienced DJ myself but from what I've heard the correction of this table is smoother than with a Technics, it will get back on speed more quickly whereas the Technics sometimes goes over the pitch and then falls back again.

You're right about lasting, I don't have a clue how they will keep up after 20 years of service but my expectations are high; also due to the solid design of these machines. I think it's worth to give them a shot at least, certainly for that price
