Having been to Crobar a number of times, I've never been even glanced at in terms of appearance; meaning they are fine with comfortable shoes, jeans, and a semi-dressier shirt. It's when people bring t-shirts, ratty ass shoes, or warm up gear or what have you, that I see some shiate thrown their way.
To be honest, they usually give a harder time to Asians. I've seen it. Me being generic looking clean cut white boy probably doesn't get as much slack unfortunately. Call it what you will but that's the truth. I have a friend that says once they sense it's getting to
"Asian'd out" then they start to make bull S excuses....
I would imagine that since everybody has already purchased duckets from madeevent for CP, they will be much more lenient for this gig. I would bet the house on it since they already feel they might have alienated people (drop in price). Plus, it's not a normal Crobar event gathered by their promotions team.
I was hoping for the outdoors gig too, just as something different, but Crobar is my favorite club in NYC currently. I just like the setup so this should be alright.
I would wear what you want and don't worry about it.
