Party Hat Korg MS2000B

so my birthday was last week and i had told my mom a while ago that i wanted to start making music but didnt tell her to buy me anything anyways on the day of my b day she suprised me with a korg ms2000b im new to this so can u guys give me any ideas on how this synth can be used to get the most out of it what programs i can get etc. your help would be appreciated

congrats. the MS2000 is a great sounding synth.

The best way to get the most out of it is to learn how to build patches from the ground up. play with the presets some to get a feel for what kind of sounds you can make, then pull up an -INIT- patch or some such and start tweaking.

First mess with the OSC settings.....then AMP envelope......then filter....then filter envelope....then some FX.....

There are plenty of good subtractive synth tutorials online as well, just do a google search. But the best way to really learn is to just spend time playing with it.
