look at the bottom right hand corner of your screen. see the two little computers icon? thats your local area connection status. go ahead and give it a double click and a box pops up. all the information will be on it..

I don't have that icon. I do know, though, that I can send files through AIM at almost 5 megabytes/second on my connection.
