I'm almost about to finish a song, but I have a extreamly hard time finding good fx's to use with it, or any fx's that are useable at all. Not effects in "Waves Diamond Bundle" & etc, other fx's as in misc sounds, whooses, etc. Misc sounds...
Anyone else had this problem before? Can anyone help? Recommended some places to grab good packs and etc? It would really help. What to look for, etc.
I'm using Fruity by the way.
Thanks alot. Any help will be appreciated.

Ehm... you can easily do whooshes with plain white noise and some reverb.

I can totally relate...
Jaye,
Like you I was only recently thinking the same thing... how do I "fill" this empty sounding space in my music?
While there are samples and patches that can probably accomodate you (if you have several synths) you would do better to learn how the Pros here do it. What the guys here are saying is, that by learning how an oscillator can be affected by LFOs and filters, you can make your own ambient sounds and swooshes from literally ANY patch in ANY synth.
Simply knock out all but one oscillator and play around with the cutoff band and the resonance knob... tweak the heck out of things to see what does what.
Soon you'll find that your "WIND PAD" can become a whoosh just by removing (for example) the SINE waveform and sweeping the cutoff filter. Automate this, and you have a swoosh! Add some Low Frequency Envelopes and modulate it into some ambient spacey effects!
It all boils down to if you want to GROW as an artist or just continue to use "someone else's" samples.
Do the right thing!

Not really - just tweak all knobs to the extreme until you get something usable

if so...Holi shit

ain't that hard a pitch bend sine wave can make a beat, white noise can make hats and snare, waldorf q is great for percussion
anyway he was talking about background efx
It's all about fx and tweaking and EXPERIENCE
Spend some hours making only background efx.
You DO have to spend time in music
Don't always go for the easiest way out (where can i grab this, where can i grab that)
