Do you guys have many poker machines (or "pokies" as we call them) over there? Then you can tell me about Gamblor ( )

The state of NSW in Australia contains something like 10% of the worlds poker machines. Every single pub/club/bar you go to has at least 20-25. The big sports clubs have hundreds, and the Star City casino in sydney has 1000s. Sooooooooooooo many people are addicted to poker machines, they are so easy and convenient, so easy to lose money in.

My friend has has some big wins (~$600, $400 etc) and some big losses ($600, $500, $400)....he is so addicted to them, but now he has sworn off them for a year. There's no way he can do it.

So anyway, we call him GAMBLOR like the 'evil gambling monster that has possessed Marge" in the Simpsons.

What's the point of online poker? I always thought the fun in poker was trying to read your opponents' faces.

Lol tell em about the freakin pokies, theyre everywhere,,,,,, i still manage to throw a $5 at it at times, but generaly i dont bother sepnding money on machines.


DiMethGuy,,,, id say it will wear off after a while, if not,,,,,, fear the real money losses :P

here in the states we call those machines "slots" ... some of us call em "sluts" when they're goatin us.

I much prefer to play real poker to read the other persons face. But I can play this online stuff in boxers, listening to trance uber load, cranked off my ass. try to get away with that in a face to face poker game unless ur playing with qu33rs.

i'm done for the night. I lost 250$...i'm still up close to 800...but I was up way more than that...perhaps like Kenny Rogers says, "you gotta know when to walk away, and know when to run"
