how can I create these sounds??

Hi

I was wondering how i can create the bass sounds that are very frequently used in recent trance tracks. I've some samples as example HERE . I have an acces virus rack but but i'm still not very experienced in the creation of sounds. So if anyone knows how to create a sound that is similar to these samples let me know. Mayby it's also possible in reason???

thanx a lot

Holy shit, a virus rack and you can't pump out the basic trance beats ? :O Try learning from the presets on the virus... I don't own one so I wouldn't be able to tell you. But just .. turn the knobs till it sounds the way you want it to sound !

That's a bit hard when you've got the rack version of the virus. Not a lot of nobs to turn unfortunately. Make sure you get aquainted with Sounddiver. It's a very good interface for the virus and will help you in controlling all the parameters. There are more options in sounddiver than there are in the C and KC.

the interface menu on the rack classic/XL is actually very easy to get around once you learn it. I can edit every one of the perimiters from the sounddiver software by using just the knobs and menus. It's better that way becuase you can have a sequencer play a midi file or something like that while you tweak it to get the sound you want.

speaking of sounddiver.. mine won't freakin work so is there a way to dump my sound banks to a midi file without using it?

It's strange that your sound driver doesn't work. Before I installed it I used cakewalk to dump and receive date from my access. That worked well too.
