Ppl specifically stated in the Olymipcs thread that Tiesto was gonna do it to make alot of money for the gig, and that he's all about the money. I didnt wanna get into the dicsussion too much then, but now that Tiesto has a new personal note up, you can see for yourself.

I believe the publicity alone has helped the public profile of EDM internationally. This is quite refreshing.

I am not a knowledgeable Tiesto fan but I do know his friendliness is inspiring.

Maybe he did want to do it because it's a cool thing to do and few people could claim anything similar, but, you can't say he didn't think at all about the free publicity he'd be getting (and consequentlymore album sales).

Just a thought. Not a Tiesto bash.

How do you know he didn't write that to make you think that he wasn't doing it for the money.. and honestly - what's wrong with doing it for money anyways?! Money is money.
I personally think he did feel honoured to be a part of the olympic ceremonies - but even if he did do it for the money, I don't think there would be anything wrong with that who cares

If we all found out that Tiesto had done the olympic cermonies for money.. would you really lose respect for him? Dj'ing is his CAREER

I could really care less if he did it for free or got paid 25k. It was nice to here Tiesto instead of crap
