battery in cubase

Hi!
It seems very hard to make a good beat with battery in cubase. Is it really that good and i need to learn more or its not? I've worked in reason (there wasnt such problem to make a good one). Does many of you use battery? I've also tried cubase -> reason rewire but aint good for my cpu. Please help!
Thanks a lot!

I find battery to be a great tool for making beats. I assume you prefer a redrum interface rather than writing beats in a midi editor? You might be happier with it if you purchased a sound library or two. Native Instruments released a great sound library "Synthetic Drums" complete with example midi files for all the kits etc. I think I paid between $50-$100 for it (wasn't too expensive but well worth it)

the beats made in battery are as good as samples you put in. so, first you put some good samples, and then make some beats. and yes, it is good - most probably, the best drum sampler there is. i use battery for most of my tracks, but have been switching to dr008 a bit more lately because of its synthesis capabilities.

Battery is cool.. although I wish there was easier to add FX on each channel..

I think atleast there could be the possibility to add reverb, EQing etc. inside Battery.. that would be awesome..
