I wanna know two things
1. how gentle is it on the CPU compared to other supersaw plugins?
2. is it made with synthedit or programmed by hand?

yeah the GUI looks very nice but the soundquality won't be as briliant as the GUI.
that's the problem with synthedit, the results from it just doesn't have that same soundquality as synths programmed by hand.

ive had this for a few weeks now - on the site they say it compares quite favourably to the jp8000 but i wouldnt know since ive never owned one (could someone who does own a jp8000 do a comparison? that would be awesome). it does however have a more tinny, brighter sound that the superwave plugins. i use superwave-06 more than superwave plus because superwave-06 has a warmer sound and MONSTER detune. i find that both superwave plugins and superwave plus cant get the kind of fat warm detune that superwave-06 gives. but superwave-06 seems to have a few problems. especially when the low pass filter is on, even tiny adjustments to the tone control make it distort and/or cutoff. i havent really had any problems with superwave plus but like i said, theres just something a bit clean and bright about it which just doesnt sit well in my setup

there might be some vst's that are able to come close to the original jp8000 but never expect them to do the exact same work, it will never happen unless someone creates a jp8000 emulation for a dsp card (like the virus powercore for example)
