I use Sonys MDR-G52 with my IPOD... They are really popular in my cozzy little town, everyone seems to own these headphones.

I've got two sets of headphones / earphones. For everyday use to avoid looking a fool I use a pair of Bang & Olufsen A8 earphones. They cost me £75 / $135 (I think) in February 2003. They are superb earphones and came with a two year guarantee. When I had some problems earlier in the year (a slight crackle in the left earphone) I took them back to the place, the guy addressed me by name without prompting (he'd remembered it from a year ago!. I realise that has no inflience on your choice but thought it was a nice touch!) and replaced them without asking any questions or trying to see if there were any problems. The 2yr warranty was renewed from that date. Bang and Olufsen have great customer service, at least where I am!



I have just purchased a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort 2 headphones for my flight from London to San Francisco next week. I'll have to give an update on these in good time but for £285 / $510 I have high expectations. They do get excellent reviews! For a free try fly on American Airlines in Business or First and they have them built into the seat.

HD25's. Honestly they are the best phones you'll ever use. Every piece on them is replaceable. They are used by dj's but i wouldnt call them strictly dj phones. They are supra aural (i think thats what its called) so they arent gigantic things. The only reason i could see someone not wanting them, is because the have sound isolation. (blocks out, or quiets down outside sounds) But they sound so amazing.

500 bucks for headphones...dam thats more expensive than the player itself..for that price i would by some speakers and tie em to my ears

Those Bose noise cancelling are amazing. I do alot of travelling...they're a must. Expensive as hell but worth every cent.

Graddo Headphones are the way to go. They are open air but, like you said its not for Djing so its ok. They look hella ghetto I know but thats because they have not redesigned the exterior since the 50's. So it looks like some crap your dads dad used to own. But if you listen to anything with them OMG its the best. It is by far some of the best sound I've heard coming from a pair of phones.

The sound is very warm and rich. You feel almost like your sitting in a concert hall listening. Senhiser (i totally didn't spell that right) has definately gone down in sound quality over the years. But they do look cooler.

Since I've started travelling a lot more on longhaul flights I've got pissed off with having to crank up the B&Os to full blast and wearing out the batteries so got myself the QC2s.

Yes they were more expensive than the Minidisc player and the £285/$510 was on special offer
