I have shortcircuit on there, supposively I am to import the lil wave files in there, then use a drum map to trigger the sounds. However, I hear nothing.
do I have to save the samples in a certain spot, do I need to save them as a bank or an instrument?
should I create a new drum map, and wtf do I do then.
i guess I am asking for someone to run through the steps in bringing in drum samples. If it has been posted please reply with "you n00b its been posted here [insert the link]", but don't forget to insert the link.

if you did not come up with it yet, you need a drum sampler. then you will load your samples in it, and then trigger them with midi notes. free ones are fxpansion dr005 and computer music sr202, and possibly some others i cannot remember right now. sr202 is pretty neat, buy a "computer music" magazine where you live and it is included on the cover cd. commercial ones commonly used here are native instruments' battery and fxpansion's dr008.
drum map is just a set of names for your drums, nothing else.
