Unconstitutional

Unconstitutional is a new, hour-long documentary from Robert Greenwald -- one of the most prolific and progressive producers in Hollywood -- in conjunction with the ACLU. This new film, written, directed and produced by Nonny de la Peña, details the shocking way that civil liberties of American citizens and immigrants alike have been infringed upon, curtailed, and rolled back since 9/11 and the USA Patriot Act.
Unconstitutional reveals how paranoia, fear and racial and ethnic profiling have led to the subjugation of our constitutional rights, without protecting us from future terrorist attack. Through personal stories, the film explores how detentions and police infiltration of ordinary Americans has been based solely on unconstitutional directives from the White House and the Justice Department.
After producing and/or directing more than 50 television movies, miniseries and feature films, director Robert Greenwald expanded his creative focus in 2001 to include documentary filmmaking. Inspired by the vote-counting in Florida, he executive produced the 2002 documentary, Unprecedented: The 2000 Presidential Election. He also produced and directed Uncovered and Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch’s War on Journalism, and executive produced Unconstitutional, which was written, produced and directed by Nonny de la Peña.
