Unconstitutional

Unconstitutional is a new, hour-long documentary from Robert Greenwald -- one of the most prolific and progressive producers in Hollywood -- in conjunction with the ACLU. This new film, written, directed and produced by Nonny de la Peña, details the shocking way that civil liberties of American citizens and immigrants alike have been infringed upon, curtailed, and rolled back since 9/11 and the USA Patriot Act.

Unconstitutional reveals how paranoia, fear and racial and ethnic profiling have led to the subjugation of our constitutional rights, without protecting us from future terrorist attack. Through personal stories, the film explores how detentions and police infiltration of ordinary Americans has been based solely on unconstitutional directives from the White House and the Justice Department.

After producing and/or directing more than 50 television movies, miniseries and feature films, director Robert Greenwald expanded his creative focus in 2001 to include documentary filmmaking. Inspired by the vote-counting in Florida, he executive produced the 2002 documentary, Unprecedented: The 2000 Presidential Election. He also produced and directed Uncovered and Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch’s War on Journalism, and executive produced Unconstitutional, which was written, produced and directed by Nonny de la Peña.

I dunno if I should see it or just term it the usual ACLU tripe. I'm all for civil liberties but everytime these people think someone's rights have been even touched, they sue.

ACLU lost all credit from me after they went and defended NAMBLA (National American Man Boy Love Assoc).

I know they werent defending their so-called actions...and just their right to speak their minds...but still NAMBLA is a pedophile organization and no double talk will make me see how they have a right to speak in any civilized world.

I have heard some good arguements on their defence of NAMBLA...but like i said no kind of doubl talk can change the fact that NAMLA is an organization for older men to have sex with young boys...and when i say young boys i mean like 8-9 year olds. The ACLU crossed the line.

Yeah, I agree that NAMBLA is some pretty sick shit.

Unfortunately, the ACLU is pretty much our only line of defense. They are the most vocal opponent to those who would like to see our Civil Liberties more than just curtailed.

Imagine what free reign Ashcroft would have if it weren't for the ACLU!

We would probably all have had microchips implanted in our heads at the very onset of the "War on Terror!"
