More Than Mainstream Trance?

Hey does anyone have any kinda idea on where I could hear some Trance thats not really mainstream? Like Labels, or tracks to check out? Not that the mainstream stuff is all shit, but I wanna learn what I can from the Trance veterans here. Maybe I missed a post that came up earlier, but just curious if there is any talk around here about stuff thats hot, but they go not noticed. Cause of a few big labels, or the ones that get way too much attention thats not deserved. I don't wanna name any DJs out there, and dis em since I'm a newbie, but the US has a few like that. Thanks again in advance for anyone who contributes to the thread.

You might have to clarify what you mean by mainstream. When I think of mainstream...I think of the crap that is played at the Roxy in Houston or on 104.1...which is pretty much the same chart topping cheese hits over and over.

Then again...alot of the trance tracks considered underground over here are mainstream in holland. For instance: http://www.dancetrendstop30.nl/ While these tracks are the current popular ones in Holland and other parts of Europe...not to many here have heard em very much (unless they are savvy about recently released stuff). But its a decent place to start.

Great thanks alot. Yeah I should have been more clear, but yeah any tracks here, or outside of the US that don't pop up, or don't pop up often. Also Moonsine could be considered a underground label right? Stuff like that. Basically anything in the US or in Europe that we don't get exposed to even if it's a known underground label. I don't know if I"m still clear enough, but I liked the way you put that LOL!

Nah I know what you mean. Another avenue to consider is browsing the tracklists forum for the latest sets by whatever artist you are into. Look up those tracks online or at your local record store and see which ones fit your preference.

Yeah there are a few record stores people told me about, but I don't wanna go just yet cause I'm still in need of money, and I'll blow it away if I walk in there. It's crazy just putting gas in my car right now, and my car gets good mileage. I got too comfortable with everyone using my turntables, and me using their vinyl that I don't have much of my own. I haven't been to the tracklist forum though, so I think I'll check it out. Hey does anyone know of a good music sharing program, so I can listen to a bigger selection then what I got. Hope asking that doesn't blow smoke up people's asses cause I buy music too, it's just I don't have that much, and I only buy if I can't live without it. If it does sorry everyone, but hey I'm new.

OK yeah that would probably be best so no one gets in trouble. If I were to come out with something I'd say those programs could spread it quick if alot of people end up liking your stuff. I guess it has good and bad to doing it.
