in the past two months i'm into producing for good, i dont do nothing else with my computer, but i dont like to do it with the computer.
i want to buy some hardware equipment, part by part (my paycheck is 650 euros :P), anyone experienced with hardware to recommend me something?
i've been thinking to buy an M AUDIO KEYSTATION 49e USB MIDI Keyboard for start, i dont like to press the mouse button anymore, i want a real keyboard :P..
anyway, should i buy the midi keyboard, or a cheap synth instead...
should i buy a midi keyboard only and do the rest with my computer? if yes, what keyboard..anyway, i dont know nothing about hardware, someone to guide me?

I guess it'll depend what kind of tracks you want to make. Personally if I could only keep one piece of hardware in my setup it would be my virus b. You can probably find one of them for a fairly decent price these days. Very versatile synth that could fit into almost any setup.
if you dont know anything about hardware then stick to software for now. dont rush into things, keep using ur computer, all ur guna do by getting hardware is confuse ur self and make bad music. no point in that is there

don't stick to what people say..do your resrearch indepth before you make a purchase based on someone elses decision. think of what you want to do now and what you may need and then think of what you might consider in the future so you don't have to go and spend millions upgrading. If your really seriuos don;t go hardcore and get all Pro Hardware right away since you don't know much. By pro hradware I mean like a huge mixing console and patchbay ect..figure out what you need now and then compensate a little as you may get more advanced in the future and may want more so don't totally go cheapo. Synth wise I wont reccomend one since it is your prefrence...I think the best idea would be to get a rack unit and a decent midi keyboard that has poly pressure(trust me you will want that in teh future).
I have to disagree with Mike.
If you are serious about producing and want a piece of hardware, go for it. Hardware doesn't always confuse you. You just have to take it slow and buy once piece at a time so you can get the most out of it.
I started out using software and learned a lil bit how to program sounds, but i recently bought a Virus C (1st piece of hardware) and Ive learned alot more with that than software in a much shorter time.

yummy, virus... In some cases, having the knobs and buttons of a piece of hardware makes things more intuitive than a soft synth. Maybe you're one of those tactile ppl. At any rate, if you're not 100% sure, keep looking.

personally, i'd buy a midi keyboard first then a pro level sound card (RME's are good) and a pair of mackie hr824's. you'll have a nice setup to play with while you save your money for the next step - hardware. plan wisely so that each peice will fit in the big picture.
imo, at this point a hardware synth would be a waste because that shiney new virus won't be too impresive through that soundblaster and those boston acoustics. however, reason would definately be kick'n over a pair of 824's.
build your arsenal slowly and learn along the way.
