A change is as good as a rest they say and those people at Godskitchen don’t really have time to rest on their laurels, so have opted for a programming change to kick start the new year. From 2005 Godskitchen will be moving their weekly club night from a Friday to a Saturday night and implementing an idea they have toyed with since its inception.

Outside of London, Godskitchen is the only club night to host the world’s biggest DJS every week. So it should come as no surprise that they have chosen to move their weekly parties to the premier night of the week for clubbing. As the one remaining bonafide super club in the UK and with fewer clubs of this ilk in the north of England it seems right to make the night available to as many clubbers as possible.

‘It’s an option we have always considered. The time now feels right to make the move and we’re confident it will draw a new set of people into the club from around the country who couldn’t previously attend GK on a Friday. Many people work on Saturdays or live too far away to travel. It’s an exciting move and one we are treating very much as a re-launch’

With the more diverse music policy at Godskitchen, the club now caters for slightly different crowds each week. The new look Godskitchen will tailor each night to the audience it attracts whilst stepping up the notorious carnival antics that have made the night legendary.

Godskitchen will therefore be overhauling all production elements within the club to give AIR a decorative and visual face-lift. New décor, themed nights, more acts, entertainers and visual treats will be introduced for 2005 and the club’s appearance will change week in week out to suit the musical style.

2005 will mark a brand new chapter in the colourful Godskitchen story. Come and experience the new look Gods first hand with the launch party and residents night on 15th January. The night will be free for all and will deliver a taste of what you can expect for the rest of the year at AIR.
