DJ Murphy (Brazil)
I first heard about this guy because apparently the set he played at WEMF in 2001 blew everyone away!! He hasn't played in these parts since I don't think, but he has been playing mostly in south america and a few european tours.
He produces a bit also but I don't think I have heard any of his releases. Anyway, these sets are my kind of techno.. mostly BANGIN', some funk, and he keeps me interested with his constant tricks and scratching.. ooooo I love that scratching..
In the set from 3.18.2004 he even drops Preach's Insomniak track about 21 min in. His set from 11.2003 is the first one I heard and he has had my attention ever since. I couldn't find an english site that hosted these sets but scroll down below his bio, there are 3 of them.. all pretty dope.
try this again.. otherwise.. 'scuse the inconvenience, under "DJ's" on the homepage, select that and they are in DJ Murphy's bio (he is number 18 on the list). Dooo it.. it's worth it.

Yes I know exactly which track you mean.. 54 min in... I *wish* I knew.. but he mixes it into this dope greg silver track that I hunted down after hearing it on this set.
he also drops johan bacto's strike night in the 3.18.04 set, I'll see if I can ID some more... I recognized others.

he is good. but i must say he uses scratching when its not needed and screws up the flow. like he did with shadow dancer. i was waiting for the breakdown, after his scrathces and he never let it. he changed to the next track :S

werd.. especially during that mix you mentioned, but regardless, I'd much rather listen to a dj with mad skillz who takes chances and screws up on occasion, than one who plays it safe all the time.
