I am getting Cable next Wednesday *H00T*, and I was wondering I hear there are ways to tweak your modem, so that you get the most efficient D/L speeds. If anyone could point me to some articles, or explain how to do it, I would be super appreciative!

well go to dslreports.com and run a tweak test and post it in the tweak forums and the "pros" will help you.

let me tell you something. your first week of high speed access is AWESOME. u finally are able to get livesets, music videos, the entire movie of asian street hookers volume 3, no wait. well in your first week, u get so much sh=t. but guess what. after that, it gets REALLY BORING.
on 56K, i used to spend all day downloading MP3s
Cable, i spend 1 hour a week downloading mp3s, and the rest of the time is hmmmm, what do i do? tranceaddict.com forums, ummmm that's about all. wait for recommendations. maybe download the latest Mr Bean movie. play with the microphone. Instant Messenger.

^^^^ ya its true, and i only have slow dsl. We'll just see how much free time you'll have. hehehe. But i was so obsessed with tweaking my connection, it always seemed slow. what a waste of time...

Compared to 56k and below anything is faster..

awwww, very true! well all but the asian women! lol! well i still get alot of mp3's and live sets, well worth my money my cable is

yeah,i hear that. i was like that a year or so ago, heheh. but i finally learned to settle with what i got.
