Held the same night as the debate between John Kerry and George Bush was a debate between two other presidential candidates: Michael Badnarik of the Libertarian Party and David Cobb of the Green Party.

After watching the debate, I personally thought that David Cobb was more energetic and articulate in getting his point of view across than Badnarik (or Kerry or Bush for that matter). I didn't know much about David Cobb, but I was quite impressed by him and, even though I agree with Badnarik on more issues than I do Cobb, I thought that Cobb won this debate.

I found it worth spending two and a half hours to watch the entire video because, although neither candidate will win this election, the debate was refreshingly "real." The answers weren't carefully scripted, most of the questions came from members of the audience, and - although the two candidates agreed on most of the issues raised - they presented and interesting contrast from the democrats and the republicans, both in the nature of their positions and in their desire to work together for the right solution instead of bullying the other into submission.

It's too bad that the candidates who stand a chance to win can't be like this...
