Question about arpegios in VSTi's

A really silly question (to which I think I already know the answer but wanted to confirm):

Is there any way to capture an arpegio pattern from a VSTi instrument? I'm running a Cubase SX 2.2 and have a Arturia Moog VSTi from which I wanted to capture a MIDI arpegio pattern - is there any way to do that?

if the VST has midi output, then you can simple press the record button on this track and it should record the midi..
