I had an interview last week and got the job!

Make sure you know exactly where it is and how you're getting there so you can allocate enough time to get there so you WONT BE LATE! I was nervous as well but the thing is is to act interested. Lean forwards on your chair, look them in the eye and nod in agreement at the right times! Hope this helps!

Those... what are they called, nervousness-decreasing fully legal pills... ehh... Beta-blockers, I think?

Yeah, always be a few minutes early - just don't show up at the exact time.

Do look interested, but not too eager, you know? And do read up on some history/background of the company you could be working for - it's always nice to bring something up about what they do

In response to some of them:

Yes, I know where it is and how far away it is from my work. I plan on leaving a half an hour before the interview (it's approx. 15 minutes away). That should be enough for any sort of traffic related delays.

And the history of the company is a great idea. I have looked up a few things, I just hope that I can remember it @ the interview.

Still a little nervous, but I'm thinking that this won't be too bad. I mean they called me because they liked my resume, so obviously they must have some interest in me/my qualifications.

Beta-Blockers are only available on prescription here and they work by slowing down the heart-rate to make you feel 'calmer'. personally they never worked for me, theres a lot of side effects and it takes 2 weeks minimum to get into your system for a noticable change

Dont forget to be confident when you answer a question.

Think about what to say to trick/difficult questions like these:

-What would you do if you caught your friend stealing on the store?
-Tell me about your pasts.
-How eager do you want this job?
-What do you want to be 7 years from now?
-How do you deal with difficult people?
-How do you handle stress?

When they ask a difficult question i try look as confident and non-stunned as possible and speak with ease and dont studder like ummm and hmmmm, when you're stuck just SHUT UP and think before you speak!!

And remember to answer 2-5 questions at the end when your interviewer asks if you have any questions for him or her. This tells them you're very interested and it's a + and dont forget to smile often and look at the interviewer in their eyes, even though you feel like shit.

btw 99% counts on the interview no matter how good your resume looks.

have fun with the interview... the best interview is the one in which the majority of the discussion is not business related.

2 hours til my interview.

I'm surprisingly relaxed now. a little queasy in the stomach, but I'm sure that I will be fine.
