Ripping an MP3 from an MPG?

Just wondering if it's possible to make an mp3 of an mpeg that seems to be a movie.

Any software necessary?

Hmm... I tried to use VD just now and it's giving me a "No video frames found in mpeg file" error.

on windows movie maker:

oh wait no.... you can import the vid, put it on the timeline. then go to save movie. choose your settings and when it opens up the window to decide the name, select all files and then name it a .wma

there, you have an audio file, you can then go about converting it to mp3 with most audio editing programs, or d/l some small proggie to convert anything to mp3 from http://www.download.com

mpeg's don't have mp3, it's mp2's and yes, tmpgenc is the smoothest, just find mpeg tools and then pick de-multiplex, load file, pick audio stream, save to the spot you want

In Quicktime you can just export the movie as an MP3.
