ugghhh lemme tell you somethin' vice about cdrwin. it NEVER burns things properly. the only thing it's good for (at least for me) is ISOing. use Nero for your burning needs man. it's really easy to crack too. trust me. i had the same problem as you with cdrwin.

I just installed cdrwin yesterday and burned 4 cds and all were nothing but static...but I haven't tried at a lower speed. Did this burn correctly for you at 2x? I was going to try updating my firmware, but haven't had a chance yet...I'll let you know how it goes.

definitly use nero. its very good, and veryeasy to crack. If you can't find any i'll give u sites.

I've burnt dozens of CD's with CDRWin at 4x without a problem ever. I think it creates a problem when u try to crack the program... it only looks like it's registered, but will only burn crap. I used a keygen intead of a crack for mine, so u might wanna try that.

This is a well known problem with cdrwin. try using version 3.8d. i use it with cue files and it works perfect every time without fail.

i know its a bit late to reply to this...

but here's the exact reason so many get the "static problem" w/cdrwin:

CDRWIN is heavily boobytrapped software. The developers of the program put in booby traps that will cause your cd-writer to burn garbage/static if you use a blacklisted serial or crack to register it... this was done to discourage piracy of the program (albeit a very crude & devious way of doing so, IMHO). Personnaly, I only use tested packages of cdrwin that comes w/a keygen.... so i never get the static problem.

So does anyone have this combo of the program w/ a keygen that won't burn crap? Someone please pm me.

i've burnt a shitload of cd's at 8x with cdrwin w/out problems... my ver is 3.8c

supposedly if you put in a fake crack, it will burn nothing but static... or it might be the shareware version your downloaded that's the problem. Either way, get a diff crack or get the entire program again.

I've never had any problems burning CDs with CDR-Win.
