Monday Plays...
Well, so far so good...
The Yankees have finally lost one and now its game 5. I have to note that with the money lines moving slightly from game to game, I have seen a small trend developing. Games 1 through 3 had the Yankees underdogs by a margin between +120 to +150 and they have won everytime as the dogs in this series. Last night, they were slightly favored over the Sox at -115 and they blew it in the 9th. Judging by recent trends, the Yankees find themselves dogs again +134 with Mussina taking the mound against Pedro. As a betting man, I would have to believe the Yankees will follow the trend as of late, they don't lose as dogs. Atleast not against the Red Sox so far.
Yankees +134 for 30 eggrolls.
As for the Monday Night game, the Rams are at home against the Bucs and after witnessing the crazy comeback the Rams had against the Seahawks last week, I am inclined to re-observe the 6 point spread the Rams are giving the Bucs in St. Louis tonight. The Rams, coached by Mike Martz (a bumbling heap of lard at times) have found success in the deep passing game once again. Rams were able to comeback 17 points in a little over 5 minutes remaining in the game and then were able to win it in overtime. This week the Rams face the 4th best Defense in the NFL but the Bucs have a dismal 25th ranked offense. Ironically, the Rams are 4th best Offense and 28th worst defense. But coming off that stellar win last weekend, at home on Monday Night Football, and facing a team without a solid starting QB, you have to like the Rams winning by atleast a touchdown.
St. Louis Rams -6 for 30 eggrolls.
