maybe you could tell us what you need it for? If you want only samples you should go for mv, if you want midi and synth module + sampling go for mc

did u mean to say if i want sampling only go for MC?
anyways..i just cant decide if the MV is worth so much extra money..i dont currently 'need' it or all the features in it..but of course i would love to be able to do everything i wish when it comes to makin beats...or taking them apart

You don't make beats with a sampling workstation, you just sample them.
From what I hear you say I believe you are a total beginner at producing stuff so I'd highly recommend you to go to a music shop and explain them what you need and ask for a demo. the mv is basicly a ripoff from the akai mpc series, so you got a sequencer + a (drum)sampler. The mc has a synth engine + sequencing + a (limited) sampler so you prolly would have more fun using the mc, you'll need a sound module sooner or later anyway

mc 909 = sampler mv 8000 = all in one and u know all that..
i am just wondering how limited the mc is since i haven't tried using it and if its worth putting in the extra money for the mv 8000
also what is the difference in the softweare that they both come with?

I wouldn't buy a new roland groove box, I bought that MC-505 thing and ended up selling it due to the shitty sounds and lack of actual drum sounds, lots of kits but only a few sounds using the same samples.

what will i miss out from the MC 909 if i buy the MV 8000?

You should think the mc to be a synthesizer with sequencing in first place with some additional sampling possibilities and the mv as a sequencing workstation with a lot of sampling possibilities.

@ flashback did you spend some time with it programming sounds? it has some very fine basses and pads + it has more than 256 individual drum sounds. It can sound professional if you tweak it. It has the same sound engine as the legendary jv 1080, which thousands of producers have in their studios.

I mean I liked it, but it had like 50 kits, and some many of the sounds were the same. I mean some of the sounds were cool whatever. I would rather have a roland xv 5080. Why do you need a sampler? Just use one on the computer, way easier for everything. Besides you only need basic square sine triangle waves to program any sound in the world.
